Judicial Districts (BC)
Last revised September 16, 2024

Judicial Districts are defined in the Supreme Court Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 443, s. 8.

The judicial districts share the same geographical boundaries as counties and are known by the same names:

  •  Cariboo
  •  Kootenay
  •  Nanaimo
  •  Prince Rupert
  •  Vancouver
  •  Victoria
  •  Westminster
  •  Yale.

The counties of Vancouver and Westminster are amalgamated into one judicial district, the Vancouver Westminster Judicial District.

The Provincial Court of British Columbia has a map of court locations by Court Services region rather than by judicial district.

Land title districts are listed in the Land Title Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 250, s. 4. A map of British Columbia land title districts is found in the Canadian Bar Association, BC Branch website.
