When I joined CLBC, everyone was excited to welcome me to the team, and I found they openly shared their knowledge to help me feel supported.

On a day-to-day basis, I feel like I am listened to and trusted to do my job.

Working here at CLBC, I appreciate the community we’ve built together, fostering a collaborative environment I find highly valuable for success.

Our staff are really the best. Even though we work far away from each other in our own branches across the province, I always feel supported and like we’re one big team. Everyone at CLBC is kind, compassionate and willing to help out, wherever and whenever they can.

I feel so fortunate to be working in such a beautiful atmosphere as these libraries, surrounded by so many considerate people. My co-workers have always been so helpful in attending to my questions and I have always felt so deeply supported.

All employees have access to confidential counselling with the Employee Assistance Program and professional development. 

Regular, part-time employees have access to a health spending account.

Permanent, full-time employees have access to a comprehensive group medical plan including coverages such as $1,000 per year for paramedical expenses, $500 every 24 months for vision (glasses, contact lenses, laser eye surgery) and after one year of employment four weeks of vacation entitlement.
