This is a Preliminary Memorandum. This is an appeal from a jury trial judgment of Stewart J., pronounced February 26, 1991 dismissing the application of the appellant, a Vancouver Sun reporter for disclosure of the reasons why the press and the public were excluded from the courtroom during parts of the trial of R v Parsons who was tried by a jury on December 13, 1990.
