Reliability, Believability, and Vulnerability of Alibi Evidence
Criminal Defense Advocacy Society and the Courthouse Library are pleased to host Stephanie Marion, Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology at York University's Glendon College and moderated by Tamara Levy, KC.
Our presenter, Dr. Stephanie Marion will provide an overview of the research on alibi evidence and its implications for the criminal justice system. This will include a discussion of memory factors that impact the accuracy of recalled alibis, the contextual and social factors that influence the believability of alibis, and the vulnerability of alibi evidence to loss and corruption from the time an alibi is generated to the time it is presented in court.
Participants may claim up to 1.5 hours of CPD with LSBC.
