At the beginning of a court proceeding parties and/or legal counsel should advise the Court of their pronouns and form of address. When introducing themselves, a witness, client or another person, they should provide the judge or justice with each person’s name, title and correct pronouns. For example: Ms. Black, pronouns she/her. This applies to both in-person and virtual hearings.
