Digital privacy is a growing concern in our world and is especially important for children and youth. The BC Civil Liberties Association produces the Digital Privacy Rights for Youth publication, which helps youth learn about their privacy rights on their electronic devices like phones and laptops. The publication includes sections on rights in the classroom, freedom of expression online, and police searches of cell phones.
The publication is available on the BCCLA website in both English and French in PDF, meaning you can read it easily on the computer or print it for a patron.
As a reminder, if you find you are printing a lot of online legal information booklets for clients, you can use a portion of your LawMatters grant to cover the printing cost. 2025 grants are coming this spring!
