Royal Proclamation of 1763

The Royal Proclamation of 1763 was Issued by King George III to establish the colonial government in the North American territories, which later became Canada.   It also established the framework for the negotiation of Indian treaties. 

A print copy of the proclamation is published in the Revised Statutes of Canada,1985, Appendix II (Constitutional Acts and Documents).
