The Statutes Repeal Act, S.C. 2008, c. 20 (Bill S-207), repeals acts that have not been brought into force within 10 years of receiving Royal Assent.  Section 4 of the Act states "The Minister of Justice shall publish each year in the Canada Gazette a list of every Act or provision repealed on the preceding December 31 under this Act."

The Statutes Repeal Act came into force on June 18, 2010.

Details regarding its progress through the legislature can be found in the 2007-2008 edition of the Canada Legislative Index (available in Vancouver and regional courthouse libraries).

The first list made under s.4 of the Act appeared in the Canada Gazette, Part IVol. 146, No. 7 — February 18, 2012:  List of repeals.  There are 32 Acts on the list, some dating back to 1987.

Acts of the Parliament of Canada are available in most courthouse libraries.
