Our mission is to provide the legal community and public with legal resources, Librarian expertise & informed referrals, to help people research and manage their own or client's legal issues.
One of the ways that we do this is by making our collections accessible to as many of our clients as possible. Our print collection is distributed across our 30 library locations, and most items are available to all clients, for use in any location.
Many members of the legal community have borrowing privileges. See our borrowing policy for eligibility requirements.
As a borrower, you are part of a large community of legal practitioners who all share this special privilege.
As a professional courtesy towards your colleagues, our clients and library staff, you are responsible for:
- Returning the materials on time and in good condition
- Communicating fully with library staff about any situation that arises
- Keeping your contact information up to date
If you will be away from your office for any extended period of time, or are planning to change your practicing status, we encourage you to return all library materials by the due date, or leave the library materials with someone who can return the items for you.
If the materials are damaged or lost, you will pay all library charges, including but not limited to replacement charges and processing fees.
